Notes: Another fantastic zeegrizzle tape! Z told me that the bass was very intense for the show and had his levels at 1. Ha! Tape sounds epic. In order to raise the levels of the whole recording, I used some slight compression, as the kick drum was peaking way over the levels of the music. Making the recording less boomy and more balanced. Looking forward to seeing what Cleveland is all about in a days time!

Notes: Taper's notes, "Recorded from the back of the Loudmouth stage platform. After Tenacious D wrapped up, I ran back to the Space Zebra stage to record Nine Inch Nails. It was packed on that side, so I decided to record from the Loudmouth stage ADA platform to avoid the people. It didn't work. The first few songs of the show feature audience members and venue staff running around yelling in front of me. There is lots of phasing and occasional throughout the entire recording, and it's by far not my best work. I eqed as best I could given the insane fluctuations, added some comp to give the show a little punch, and filtered out what claps I could. If you want a laugh, check out track 15 where some random person comes up and yells into my mics asking if I'm having fun!"

Notes: Taper's notes, "I left early and missed the last 3 songs (and my recording of Gave Up isn't great because I was making my way out). Bad decision. I thought I could get out of the parking lot quickly (as I had the Thursday before after Jack White) but I was wrong. I was trying to catch Elliott's encore at The Whirling Tiger. They did two reunion shows on Wednesday, September 21 and on the night of this NIN set. I attended the Wednesday show but just wanted a little more.
