Notes: Taper Notes: "First and foremost: This one goes out to Ryan J. over at ninlive.com . He runs an insane NIN live recording resource and his site was the inspiration behind mine. I had the pleasure of meeting him and some other tapers/great people today and had a blast. It was awesome going to a show with fellow tapers and NIN fans - can't wait to do it again!! This show was insane. It's been four years since the last NIN show and no one had any idea what they would play. I managed to catch the rehearsal and knew some of the songs coming but there were still a number of surprises in there. Seeing them debut "Fashion" was pretty wild and they played one of my favorites "The Becoming" which never gets old. The band was in fine form tonight and Trent was definitely enjoying himself. I didn't edit this recording at all - it came out sounding great as is. I was in the sweet spot dead center in front of Trent in the pit and filmed in 4K as well. Enjoy!"

Notes: It'about freaking time I returned to record some NIN! Ryan and I spent most of the pandemic talking almost daily and hanging out (when it was safe to do so)... just wishing that NIN would eventually get back out there. When the southeast dates were announced, we said - We are GOING! Fast forward to the show day - I met up with Ryan on a long drive to the show at the small but nice Red Hat Amphitheater in Raleigh. The pit was miniscule at this show so we were all really close to the band. Opening with Somewhat Damaged after that huge break of NIN shows - amazing!! Massive energy and the band was out to blow the place up! Right into The Day the World Went Away and off we went. They played all of the bigger songs I was looking for after such a big break. The highlights of this show were Every Day Is Exactly the Same and the amazing performance of The Perfect Drug which I was stoked to get! Trent was on fire, the band was in great form and overall the show kicked ass. We met up with TJ from Rage Against the Machine's Live Archive and had a blast before the show and during it. Adam, Ryan'brother, joined us and overall, our group was flawless. I was a bit nervous after not stealth taping for a very long time, but once I got a show recorded it felt natural again. Luckily I didn't have many people around me going insane and the tape came out pretty solid considering we were SO close to the stage! The production and overall energy on the stage was so, so cool. Ilan smashing the drums along with Atticus's programmed beats on Perfect Drug, the energy in the crowd - all flawless! Thanks to Ryan for getting me out to the show!

Notes: First show for NIN since 2018. It was absolutely incredible. They melted the place. Trent was very appreciative of every one coming out and the performance showed. The first time 'Everyday Is Exactly The Same' since 2006. I taped in front of the left stack. I was recording on level 2 on the A10 to start the show during Somewhat Damaged and my levels clipped and I immediately turned the volume down a few clicks. Only to realize I went to zero for about 3 seconds. I received the feed in my inbox over a month ago. I have been slowly working on matrixing the sources together. I did not know that they recorded. It was a treat to see from the first show of the tour when it came to my inbox! The audience tape is more apparent, as the feed is there to supplement. The feed ran a bit hot. But adding some reverb and compression helped to reduce the harshness. There are a few more to come.
