Notes: Thank you to John W. for sending this over for me to transfer. I had some issues with my NTSC VHS unit during this time and had it for a bit longer than anticipated to get some repairs done. Once I transferred this, I could tell this was a low gen tape. John told me he bought this at a local MA record shop. Which is more than likely, the filmer sold this tape to them. YouTube may have done a bit of compression to the video, as the original file looks good. From other copies I have seen, this does look a bit better too. I took the audio and edited it in adobe premiere by reducing some of the hiss and amplifying the audio to -1 db. Overall, happy with the transfer of this tape. Notes: Recently there was a handful of lots of live DATs posted to eBay. On a few of the lots, there were labels of 'NIN 2000 Masters' in them. By looking at many of the lots and seeing what shows were labeled as masters - denoted with red stickers - it looked to be that many of these tapes were from Econeywaaa. I knew that they had taped 05/03/2000 and I believe at some point they told me that they did record 05/02 as well. But it was never sent. I am not sure who was selling the DAT tapes, they were said to have come from an estate sale? So we never will know. Transferring this tape, it was done in LP mode. I believe it included APCs set at the beginning and something in between that makes me suspect they taped over a used DAT tape? The recording is incredibly good. Some phasing at points, along with some chatter that may be of friends around the taper. But otherwise, it's one of the best audience recordings from the Fragility Tour. I listened to this start to finish and it was a very solid performance from this tour overall! During 'Sin' it seems that the taper had adjusted their levels and there is a huge fluctuation for a handful of seconds, just thought I would note that. I'm glad I was able to liberate this DAT master from eBay.
