Length: 38 minutes
Complete: Yes
Taper: Aaron Faber
Lineage: Audio - AUD (Sonic Studio DSM/6 + Sony WM-D6)
Rating: 4 out of 5
Notes: I have had a few iterations of this recording over the years. Starting with a horrible 320 mp3 version that was muddy and compressed. Then I received a low gen DAT copy in LP mode that sounded better. Now thanks to the DMLiveWiki, here is a 1st gen cassette tape of this recording. I was in contact with Aaron almost 14 years ago and he sent me a dozen or so tapes to transfer of his. But this was not in the batch of tapes. I always hoped that some of his earlier master tapes were found. Matt dissects the tape a bit more in his notes, "A very good audience recording. Bass is slightly distorted depending on the song. Somewhat noisy crowd around the taper. The prior version of this recording was sourced from a second generation DAT copy in LP mode (32khz), which degraded the quality to some extent. That version also had occasional digital clipping. This version is sourced from a first-generation cassette with no digital clipping, clearer lineage information, and a transfer performed on a high-end cassette deck. The MC intro before the concert is also complete. Thanks to James K. for providing this cassette for transfer."

Taper: FULLMETAL
Lineage: Video - AUD (8mm Camera)
Rating: 3 out of 5
Notes: Just as I add the DVD to the archive, FULLMETAL responds to my update saying, "I never sent you over the retransfer of this show?" I honestly had no idea that he filmed this! He transferred this with way better equipment a few years ago and the quality is night and day better than the DVD that is circulating! You can actually make out the stage and even though it's a rather obstructed view, it's an amazing piece of footage from the Lollapalooza Tour! Thank you to Fullmetal for sending this over!
